Born and raised in San Diego, Maxine has been selling all her life! Beginning with the top Girl Scout Cookie sales to selling the most clothes at Joseph Magnin to her 40 years in Real Estate, selling and helping others is her passion. She loves ballroom dancing, following her grandsons in all of their pursuits and watching the Padres win or lose! Maxine has 2 children, Marti (her partner) and Andy, a physician and 4 wonderful grandsons that keep her busy.
Marti is a native San Diegan who lives in Del Mar with her husband T. Pat and has two sons, Garrett and Cameron. Marti began selling Real Estate in 1985 after graduating from UCLA with a degree in Kinesiology. She Specializes along the coastal areas of San Diego with an emphasis in La Jolla and Del Mar. Marti spends her free time with her family watching her 2 sons play baseball for the Astros organization and enjoys long walks, beach time, dinner with friends, exercising and vacations as often as possible!

Originally born and raised in Anchorage Alaska, Mark enjoyed lots of fishing, camping, and sports. He attended the University of Southern Oregon and played 4 years of college football as a receiver. Mark moved to San Diego 24 years ago, and has enjoyed every day since, especially during the winter months. He has been selling real estate in La Jolla for 20+ years and has been with the Gellens for most of his career. Mark works with buyers and sellers in the area, and manages the website leads. He is happily married and has two wonderful boys. He loves spending time with family, playing volleyball, surfing and hitting the gym on a regular basis.
Originally from Arizona, Christy moved to San Diego in 1994. Prior to selling real estate full time, Christy taught 3rd-8th grades in the San Diego Unified School District from 2000-2012 as well as worked as a singer-songwriter throughout Southern California. Christy joined the Gellens’ team in 2012. Christy partners in real estate with her husband Drew, a La Jolla native who is also on the Gellens’ team. Together they have a son who loves to surf and play basketball. When not working in real estate, Christy is at the beach with her family, at the YMCA for basketball or recording her songs.
A La Jolla native of Windansea Beach and an avid surfer, Drew spent the last 5 years working in the foreclosure market. He joined the Gellens’ real estate team as a sales specialist in 2013. Along with selling real estate in La Jolla, Drew founded Headhunter Suncare. He is a proud La Jolla community member and loves being involved with helping people reach their real estate dreams. He spends his free time surfing and spending time at the beach with his wife Christy and their son Julian.
Jessica has over 10 years of diverse Real Estate experience and holds her broker’s license. Her background includes escrow coordination, sales, and marketing. She lives in La Jolla with her family.
After finishing a tour in the U.S. Navy Mike, a Chicago Native, obtained his B.S. in Marketing from Northern Illinois University. He then moved to San Diego, obtained his real estate license, and brings 10+ years of sales and customer service experience to the Gellens team. Since 2012, Mike has been our full time showing agent showing some of the most exclusive luxury properties in La Jolla, Del Mar and surrounding beach areas.
Jenn joined the Gellens team in March 2004 as a Showing Agent, and transitioned into her current position in April of 2005. With over 20 years of real estate experience, Jenn has contributed to the successful listing and closing countless transactions. In her spare time, Jenn enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family including 8 nieces and nephews. A native San Diegan, Jennifer currently resides in Santee with her fiance’ Matt, and their 2 dogs, Bogey and Refi.

Amy brings her Midwest work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and enthusiasm to real estate in San Diego. She applies her 15+ years of marketing experience to market your home in various mediums including print and digital.
Myles Cooper is a Native Californian who attended Patrick Henry High School and University California of San Diego. Specializing in the Development and permit processing of coastal homes and estates, he owns a Civil Engineering Company and has over 20 years of experience as a project manager in the processing Coastal Development permits. Myles is also a California licensed General Contractor.
After graduating from Chapman University in May 2019 with a major in Business Administration emphasis in Real Estate, and a second major in Economics, Maxine’s grandson and Marti’s nephew, Zach has primed himself to follow their footsteps into real estate. During his time at Chapman, Zach was a member of the men’s golf team. Born and raised in San Diego, deep sea fishing with his brother and golfing are some of his favorite hobbies. At the age of 21, Zach completed his first transaction when he found a buyer for a home in Del Cerro. Maxine says that if she was stranded on an island with anyone, she would want it to be Zach because of his outgoing personality.
Born and raised in Oregon, Kara spent 11 years of her life as a competitive ice skater. She took that dedication and applied it to her studies, earning an academic scholarship to the University of Oregon, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. Kara spent the next five years working in banking and finance, until she took the opportunity to move to San Diego and pursue her MBA in 2008. She decided to pursue her true passion, real estate, in 2014, and quickly obtained her real estate license and began working in the industry. She brings a strong background of customer service, attention to detail, sales and marketing.
