Watch Seals From Your La Jolla Home
Seals are fascinating creatures, scooting hilariously on their bellies on land, while gliding gracefully through the water near your La Jolla home. Did you know that the Western Alliance for Nature Conservancy has a seal webcam in La Jolla? Even if you live in La Jolla, you canβt always make it to the beach to observe the seals, but with the WAN webcam, you can watch them at home whenever you have time.
On Thursday, April 25th at 6:30 p.m., join the WAN Conservancy at the Mangelsen Images of Nature Gallery, 7916 Girard Avenue in La Jolla, to celebrate the Seal Cam at Casa Beach! The evening will be a fundraiser to support the Seal Cam. Admission is $30, with $10 going to a purchase of a silent auction item. The WAN Conservancy operates entirely with volunteers and has no paid staff. Proceeds from the fundraiser go entirely to fund the Seal Cam.
Enjoy a slideshow presentation on Marine Mammals of the World by Dr. Lawrence Wan, wildlife photographer and chairman of the Western Alliance for Nature. The evening will be a lot of fun and will help fund the Seal Cam, which brings the seals right into your La Jolla home. For full details, or to make a donation, click here.
