Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is a beautiful coastal state park situated near the San Diego community, La Jolla. It is bordered by the city of Del Mel in the North and by the Torrey Pines Municipal Golf Course in the South. Officially, it is located inside the city limits of San Diego, but despite this fact, it still is a secluded, wild stretch of land, where pure nature can still be admired. It is considered to be one of the main attractions of the city and anyone who passes through San Diego must not leave without having visited Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. It features amazing landscapes and views that cannot be found anywhere else and it will sure make a lasting impression on any visitor.

Moreover, the reserve is relatively rich, filled with things that haven’t been destroyed by humans. It has a wonderful plateau with tall cliffs that overlook the entire area and a fabulous lagoon that serves as home to thousands of migrating birds. Also, the flora and the wildlife are flourishing in the reserve and various species can be spotted. Skunks, rabbits, foxes, bobcats, coyotes, cacti many others can be admired, as well as the extremely rare Torrey pine, a species that is in danger of being extinct. It consists of eight entire miles of trails around the whole park, during which hikers are free to esteem the most amazing things the area has to offer. It is the ideal place to spend a few days in relaxation and forget about all your daily worries. Although it is basically in the city of San Diego, it appears as if it was miles away and has nothing in common with the hustle and bustle of the town.

This is the only location in the world where this plant can develop and grow; therefore, it needs special attention and protection.
