Teen Club Room Benefits Coronado Homes & Residents
Teens who live in Coronado can join in the fun and learn some new cooking and gaming skills at the Coronado Recreation Club Room on weekdays throughout January. Located in the Glorietta Bay Park, not far from your school or Coronado homes, the Teen Club Room is always a flurry of activity.
From baking a new treat to having a music jam session, your student is bound to find something interesting and worthwhile at the Teen Club. The recreation staff even has cooking classes featuring everything from appetizers, soups and salads, to entrees and desserts! Classes are offered on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 6 p.m. and cost $5, including transportation from Coronado Middle School. Specialties slated for January include quiche, cinnamon roll pancakes, lasagna cupcakes, and strawberry banana muffins.
The recreation center is closed on school holidays, but is open every other weekday from 3 to 6 p.m. at no charge for socializing and play including air hockey, ping pong, movies, video games, board games, puzzles, and help with homework at the homeword station. Craft classes are also offered on Thursdays based around a theme and that class costs $5, which includes transportation to the center and all supplies. Like the cooking class, the Crafty Thursday class runs from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays are games days at the center and on January 23rd, Trivia will be the activity of choice while on January 30th, the group will play Minute to Win it. The final movie night in January is on January 26th and middle schoolers are invited to attend from 7 to 9 p.m. and high schoolers from 9 to 11 p.m. Visit the Coronado Community Center website by clicking here for details or call 619.522.7342.
