SummerFest in La Jolla Begins on July 30
La Jolla Music Society’s SummerFest is a nationally-recognized chamber music festival featuring over 81 world-class artists and ensembles performing concerts from July 30 – August 22.
Since its inception in 1986, SummerFest has welcomed over 650 renowned artists and ensembles, four talented artistic directors, and nearly a quarter of a million audience members at venues in San Diego and over the airwaves nationwide.
On Wednesday, July 30, at 7 p.m., you can enjoy a free outdoor concert at Scripps Park, featuring Music Director Cho-Liang Lin, SummerFest artists and special guests, the San Diego Youth Symphony’s International Youth Symphony.
The official opening night of SummerFest is on Friday, August 1, at the MCASD Sherwood Auditorium, with a presentation of “The Four Seasons.” Tickets for this performance are $50-$75.
