See Sea Creatures Live in La Jolla
It’s time again to journey down to the tide pools hidden along our La Jolla Coastline. Beginning in early Spring, you will start to see all kinds of sea animals and creatures that live in La Jolla, begin to appear. Taking your family for a day’s adventure, so close to your La Jolla home, will help to create lasting memories while giving you an enjoyable afternoon as well. Whether you choose to visit Shell Beach or Children’s Pool or any of the many other local tide pools, you will be in for a treat!
On Saturday February 9th, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., you can meet up with a trained naturalist from Scripps Birch Aquarium for a guided $12 tour of tidepools near Dike Rock. You can also experience the guided tour on Sunday, February 24th, at the same time at False Point in La Jolla. Refer to a local tide chart to determine the best time to make your trip to see the wildlife. Tide times differ dramatically throughout February and so you’ll need to plan your trip accordingly.
