San Diego Home Owners Enjoy Day in Italy
This Saturday, March 5th is the day for anyone who lives in San Diego to visit Little Italy. The Little Italy Association will be hosting its 8th Carnevale! The evening events begin at 5:00pm on India Street between Hawthorn and Cedar Streets. However, fun is to be had all day! Last year, Carnevale drew over 12,000 attendees (most masked) from their San Diego homes with people dressed in traditional Venetian Carnevale regalia.
You can get a Passaporto di Carnevale, to complete, as well. Once completed, you have the chance to win from an assortment of prizes, including a ‘Day in Little Italy.’ Arrive on Saturday morning between 9am-1:30pm to get your Passaporto di Carnevale stamped! The evening’s events include fantastic music by Teagan Taylor Trio at Piazza Jacaranda (Corner of India & Cedar Streets), Roman Holiday and Venitian Waltzing at Fabiani Family Stage (Date Street between India and Columbia Streets), and Guy Rallo, Lou Fanucchi and Mo(tesano Music at Piazza Basilone (Corner of India & W. Fir Streets). Kids can also enjoy crafts at Washington Elemtary School from 5-9 p.m., too. Find out more by clicking here.
