Parade Fun in Rancho Santa Fe
Small town barbeque and patriotic fun mark the annual Rancho Santa Fe July 4th Parade and Picnic! Sunday, July 4th, beginning at 12:30 p.m., red white and blue themed residents line Paseo Delicias readying themselves for the arrival of the decorated community-built Rancho Santa Fe float. Horses, bicycles, golf carts, and children all parade through the streets of Rancho Santa Fe cheering and waving flags in time to a lively band.
Visitors are welcome to join in the fun and watch and shout hooray to encourage the patriotic display. The actual parade starts at 1 p.m., but seating can be difficult, so get there early. Be sure to wear sunscreen and bring sunglasses or a hat as it can get quite hot. Afterwards the Rancho Santa Fe Community Center and Golf Club sponsors an All-American picnic and the Coastal Communities Concert Band performs at 1:30 p.m.to continue the community fun.
