Outrageous Fun Near Your Del Mar Home

The R.O.C. Race 5K is coming May 19th and 20th to the Del Mar Fairgrounds and if you are anywhere close or live in Del Mar, you will be shocked and amazed at this outrageous race.  R.O.C. is an acronym for Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge and this event truly lives up to its name! Combining a challenging, military-styled course of obstacles with elaborate, game-show inspired roadblocks and diversions produces an epic 5K 2 day race that has achieved worldwide recognition. From the Fury of Foam, Belly Flop Drop and Wrecking Ball to Tarzan Swing, you’ll be laughing and possibly crying if you register to participate in this one-of-a-kind event near your Del Mar home.

Registration for one of Saturday’s races has already sold out, but all times are still available for Sunday’s race. Races will occur at every hour from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday and 9 to 11 a.m. on Sunday. Seventy-five runners will “launch” into the course at two minute intervals, to keep the pace moving quickly. Registration is $70 or $75 per person and $265 or $285 for teams of four and all waivers must be signed prior to competing.
