These tide pools can best be enjoyed during low tides, so be sure to check the tide times before going.
The Mysterious La Jolla Caves
One other interesting thing to do in La Jolla is visiting the caves. Clime 145 steps down to the Sunny Jim Cave, the biggest among all caves in the area. The place is currently managed by the Cave Store, which also provides a display of the historic photos of La Jolla, and a venue where visitors can buy souvenirs, postcards and the like.
David & Dorothea Garfield Theatre
David & Dorothea Garfield Theatre is a place that meets the needs of the theater community in La Jolla. It is part of the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center. The theater comes with a 2,500-sq.ft. stage, 500-seat house, and of course, state-of-the-art projection system. Here is where the entire family can catch a movie, watch a music show, or enjoy the J. Company Youth Theater live.
San Diego Mormon Temple
The San Diego Mormon Temple comes with a stunning structure, with an image of an ice sculpture. People driving by Interstate-5 will not fail to notice this one. The white, palace-style temple feature a breathtaking architectural design. It is a venue for religious activities within the 59,000 square feet area. Visitors are not allowed inside the temple, but people are welcome to have a tour and admire the design of the temple.
Ellen Browning Scripps Park
Ellen Browning Scripps Park provides the best views of the Southern California coastline. A great number of tourists, as well the locals, go to the area for picnics by the palm trees. It is also one of the best spots in La Jolla to view the romantic and warm sunset.
