Live in La Jolla? Come Relay for Life!
People who live in La Jolla are known for coming together as a community to support one another in hard times. On Saturday, June 29th at 9 a.m. come to La Jolla High School for the Relay for Life. Support cancer survivors and those who are still battling. Remember those who have been lost. The Opening Ceremony starts off the event with high energy, inspiring hope and sharing accomplishments and progress. We also remember that the battle against cancer goes on year-round.
The inspiration continues with the Survivors Lap at 9:30. Survivors who live in La Jolla will be cheered on as they take the first lap. It’s a time to celebrate the victory over cancer. The day closes with the Luminaria Ceremony at 9 p.m. At this time, we come together to honor and remember those who have been lost to cancer, as well as those still fighting the disease and those who have beat it. You can purchase a luminaria to be decorated and placed around the track by clicking here.
Cancer touches the lives of many people who live in La Jolla homes. The Relay for Life is a way to embrace life and love in the face of this terrible disease. Even if you are not able to come to the Relay, you can still donate to the cause. This is a wonderful way to support cancer survivors and fighters who live in La Jolla. Visit the Relay for Life event website for more details about the day or to donate.
