Live in La Jolla and Enjoy Community & Cupcakes
The community of people who live in La Jolla is great about coming together to support efforts to serve. Join United Way of San Diego on Wednesday, July 17th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for Community and Cupcakes. Come to Warwick’s, La Jolla’s favorite independent bookshop, located at 7812 Girard Avenue to see how to get involved. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other community supporters with La Jolla homes. You’ll learn how to help children improve their reading skills and snack on free cupcakes while you enjoy a dramatic reading of a classic children’s book! Click here to learn more about the event and Warwick’s bookstore. RSVP to Roberto Garcia .
United Way of San Diego County has been an engine of positive community change since 1920. While the needs of those who live in La Jolla and the greater San Diego have changed over time, the commitment of United Way to meeting those needs has not. They focus on education, income, and health—the building blocks of a strong and happy life. Visit United Way’s website to learn more about their work in the community and how you can volunteer near you La Jolla home.
