La Jolla has long been known as a favored place for people to live. The weather here is marvelous throughout the year. Ocean breezes stave off freezes in winter and prevent heat from building up in the summer. The coastline here is especially dramatic with rolling tablelands ending in cliffs, rocky promontories ringing coves, and broad sandy beaches.
