Expansive Views on Expansive Sized Lots

La Jolla is a city located in the northern portion of San Diego County.  The region is famed for its fine weather and beautiful coastline.  The city has long attracted artists, and it has numerous galleries that display the wares created by local artists.  The city is also well endowed with cultural attractions such as museums and theaters.  The city has a number of neighborhoods with their own special character that have developed over the years.

The detached homes of La Jolla Alta are located on the south slope of Mount Soledad.  They are on large quarter and half acre lots.  Many feature great views of interior mountains, the bay, ocean, and skyline of downtown San Diego.  In season, it is possible to see the fireworks of Sea World from here.  La Jolla Alta can be subdivided into 3 smaller planned communities: Crystal Bay, Ventana, and Eldorado I&II.

Crystal Bay was built in 1989.  It has 122 single level homes with great vies of the bay and the city.  Prices range from $1.2 million to $1.8 million.

Ventana was built in 1986.  It has 168 units in a gated community filled with Mediterranean style structures.  Some have ocean views.  Prices here start at $800,000.

Eldorado I & II have 194 townhouses.  Prices here start at $700,000.  These 3 neighborhoods share a recreational facility called Alta La Jolla.  The complex includes a clubhouse, two pools, a fitness center, lighted tennis courts, and spa.

Luxury Living

La Jolla Alta is found along the south slope of Mount Soledad.  There are good views of the Pacific Ocean, Mission Bay, and the city of San Diego.  La Jolla Alta is unique in being made up of smaller planned developments.  They were constructed with the aim of providing quality lifestyles in a convenient location.  There are many scenic attractions close by such as WindanSea Beach, La Jolla Cove, and La Jolla Shores.  The shops and restaurants of La Jolla Village are nearby.

There are many home buying opportunities available in La Jolla Alta.  It is one of the most affordable locations found in La Jolla.  The houses and lots in La Jolla Alta tend to be bigger than in adjacent regions.

Newer gated homes at Crystal Bay boast simple and clean lines and are priced from $! to $3 million.  Luxury patio homes with ultra modern design start at $1.3 million.  There are condominium developments at Ventana and Eldorado.  These provide alternatives to those who do not wish to purchase one of the large, detached homes at La Jolla Alta.  These are becoming popular with empty nesters who have chosen to move from a large house to a place that allows them more freedom from upkeep and gives them the ability to travel more freely.

This section of La Jolla has much to offer in many different types of housing including detached homes, townhomes, and condos.
