Visitors and friends can mingle with artists in an intimate setting of original fine art, entertainment, and delicious cuisines complemented with fine wines and crafted beers. Take a stroll on the turf of the UCSD Warren Field. Remember that this is not street fair, rather an elegant, high quality showcase of the best arts in La Jolla.
The said festival is produced by the Torrey Pines Kiwanis, a non-profit organization known to raise funds to support adaptive sports and recreation programs for people with disabilities. The festival is indeed a rare opportunity to combine support for the said adaptive programs and services, and to artists who work very hard to share their creativity and imagination. Take the opportunity to help support the community, meet the best of La Jolla’s art scene, and just enjoy the day.
The 200 artists will exhibit sought-after fine art atop the lush UCSD Warren Field. The forms of art will include brilliant watercolor and oil paintings, serigraph (a print made by silk-screen process), glass, ceramic, paper, wood and metal sculptures, jewelry, photography and more.
The Live Entertainment
Enjoy live music on the main stage and all around the venue of the festival. Featured performers include Dave Scott and Monsoon Jazz, Fred Benedetti and Peter Sprague, the Jazz88 All-Stars, and RockinJazzBigBand, and so much more.
The La Jolla Festival of the Arts is indeed a feast for the eyes, the palate, and the ears. Of course, the festival starts with giving the best of La Jolla’s art scene, with the different forms of art on exhibits. And from time to time, visitors can taste delectable meals made especially for them. And as people walk along the venue, appreciating the art, they will be serenade by some of the local and national talents.
