La Jolla Art Association Invites Residents
The La Jolla Art Association is celebrating the new year with “Natural Vibrations – An All Member January Exhibition” which will remain until February 13th. The gallery changes its display every two weeks. Founded in 1918 in the La Jolla home of Miss Ellen Scripps, this art organization has been a defining part of La Jolla. Famous artists and architects Maurice Braun, Charles Fries, Alfred Mitchell, A. R. Valentien, Alice Klauber, and William Templeton Johnson were all founding members of this distinguished organization.
The Gallery, located at 8100 Paseo del Ocaso, Suite B, is a welcome studio to artists with a La Jolla home. Close by, it is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers art classes, demonstrations, exhibitions and a wide range of workshops to La Jolla residents through the La Jolla Art Association.
On Thursday, February 17th Joan Yin will be holding a new Chinese Brush Painting “Landscape” Workshop from 10:30-12:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per person and you can find out more information by calling 858.459.1196.
