Kids Fishing Derby in Pacific Beach

The Cod The third annual Crystal Pier Kids Classic Youth Fishing Derby is coming up in Pacific Beach on July 31st!  This family focused event centers around a catch and release contest between children 15 and under and begins at 8:30 a.m.  Prizes, raffles and lunch are included in the fun free day-long activities.  All participants must register as the pier will be closed to the public on the day of the event.  Rods will be provided by Lakeside Optimists.

Fun stories and lifelong memories are created at this hometown event and great times are had by children and adults alike!  See past photos of the event here and here.  This community friendly event began in 2008 and was organized by Ron Baker, Point Loma sportboat captain.  The Crystal Pier Kids Classic Youth Fishing Derby is sponsored by www.takekidsfishing.net, the Fish and Wildlife Advisory Commission, Crystal Pier Hotel and Cottages, and the Pacific Beach Community Foundation and Town Council.
