Junior Rangers Explore Near Coronado Homes
Kids who live in Coronado homes and love nature should check out the Junior Rangers program at Silver Strand State Beach. Any child aged 7 to 12 is invited to the activities every Saturday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Enjoy nature walks, presentations, games, science investigations, art projects and more! Each activity gets a stamp in the Junior Ranger log book. Awards such as pins, posters, and patches are given to kids as the finish activities. This is a great way for kids who live in Coronado to make friends and learn about the beautiful beach environment.
Come to lifeguard headquarters to meet up with the rest of the group and group leaders. Parents are asked to sign their child(ren) into the program and stay at the park in case of emergency. The program will teach children about the natural ecosystems near Coronado homes. If your family visits another California State Park, check to see if it participates in the Junior Ranger program, too. Kids will learn so much about California’s diverse habitats!
