“Grease” Near Your La Jolla Home
The La Jolla High School Visual and Performing Arts Department is springing into action in presenting the classic musical, “Grease,” near your La Jolla home, March 15th through the 17th. Well-known characters Sandy Dumbrowski and Danny Zuko will be played by students who live in La Jolla, Truly Bailey and Giovanni Moujaes, while Kevin Cruz and Maddy Harvey can be seen as Kenickie and Rizzo. This show is produced and directed by La Jolla High School’s drama department adviser Anne Boutelle. The shows begin at 7 p.m. on the La Jolla High School Parker Auditorium stage, located at 750 Nautilus St. Tickets are available for purchase and range from $7 to $15. The La Jolla High School Visual and Performing Arts Department offers several performances each year ranging from comedies to drama and all students can audition. You can also “Celebrate the Arts,” in an amazing collection of performances showcasing the many talents of La Jolla High School students on Saturday, April 21st from 1 to 4 p.m. in the La Jolla High Quad.
