Coronado Home Tour on Mothers’ Day
The Coronado Historical Association has been celebrating the Centennial of Naval Aviation this year with a special exhibit entitled Wings of Gold. To add to that honor, the 2011 Coronado Historic Home Tour will feature six, very special Coronado homes that once housed naval aviators. The tour will be held on Mothers’ Day, Sunday, May 8th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Coronado homes were all built between 1910 and 1940 and include styles such as California Craftsman, Spanish Eclectic, Santa Fe Territorial, a 1940 Modern, and even a Mediterranean.
Typically the tour is a self-guided walking tour, but this year is different. Visitors will be shuttled to each home on the Old Town Trolley! Currently, if you join the Coronado Historical Association, they will even include tour tickets with your family membership for a total of $100.
