Closures Noted for Those Who Live in Coronado
This week’s closure of the Coronado Bridge caught many residents who live in Coronado by surprise. The event forced many who commute or were visiting to be redirected into traffic along the Strand. And although we are glad to hear after the fact that there was no cause for alarm, it was rather inconvenient for many who call Coronado home. As such, at Gellens.com, we want to save you a little time next Monday by reminding you that the City of Coronado and associated facilities, such as the Library and street sweeping will be closed for Presidents’ Day on Monday, February 18th.
Should a similar bridge incident occur, you need not worry as Coronado Fire and Police will still be responding to emergency and safety situations as usual. Other city services will remain open as well and are listed below.
Community Center – Maintain current open hours of 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. with lap swim offered between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. and family swim between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Coronado Club Room and Boathouse – Hours will be from 6 to 9 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m.
Skatepark – Normal hours. Opens at 10 a.m.
Coronado Municipal Golf Course – Normal hours.
