Arts Fest for Families in Del Mar Homes
Families living in Del Mar homes should get ready for a rocking day! The Hullabaloo Family Arts Festival is happening September 21st from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Del Mar Fairgrounds, Paddock Green. Admission is only $7. The day will be full of hands-on activities for kids, as well as stories, music and art.
Hullabaloo is a “free-range, organic kid-folk” band, with songs kids love and tunes their parents do, too. They’re putting together a great line-up of family friendly, high quality music.
Kids from Del Mar homes will have so many fun activities to choose from. There’s a musical petting zoo and kids can experiment with all sorts of instruments, including guitars, drums, tambourines, and more.
If the music gets to be a little much, come in to the cool and quiet of the Platypus Kids Story-Time Stage where you’ll find a line-up of wonderful storytellers. Charles Johnson, the “Paperbag Cowboy” will present a lively mix of songs and tall tales. Joan Wooley is a nationally recognized baby sign expert. She’ll be presenting an American Sign Language program.
Parents and kids who live in Del Mar will be able to create their own fun works of art. Art Soup, an art studio in Encinitas, will be at the Festival. They’re bringing lots of fun and creative activities.
Be sure to visit the Hullabaloo Family Arts Festival website for more details. It’s going to be a great day of art, stories, and music. Families can bring the creativity with them back to their Del Mar homes.
