Music plays an important part in every city, country or region, and this is because it has the magic power to bring a certain place back to live. Music is part of our lives and it should be celebrated all over the world. However, there has always been a place where it seems to be loved more than anywhere else, and that place is San Diego, California, a city where the people have extremely diverse tastes.
They all know to enjoy music and they celebrate it on September 29th when one of the best festivals of this kind in America will take place. The name of the fair is the Annual Adams Avenue Street Fair and this year the event is at its 31st edition. In 2012, the Adams Avenue Street Fair will will consist in a mind-blowing combination of good music, arts and live entertainment in a unique street fair décor. There will be about 70 artists that will perform on the stage and there will be heard all kinds of music, from blues, to hard country rock and hip-hop. There is something for everybody, no matter your preferences. The festival is considered to be one of the most original in the city due to its unique setting, interesting presentation, and diverse number of artists.
It is already among the greatest street festivals in California and it is expected to become even more popular in a couple of years. Furthermore, during the festival there will be presented various Grammy Award winners as well as figures existent on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Great artists and bands like No Doubt, Koko Taylor, Andy Summers, The Beat Farmers, Charles McPherson, Transfer, Lila Downs or Rosie Flores will entertain the public and enchant the attendants with their amazing songs. Also, there will be presented artists that might not be extremely popular, but they still have great songs and produce good music, and since this festival is not at all about brands and advertising this shouldn’t matter for the locals.
In addition, apart from the music part, which is basically the central piece of the Adams Avenue Street Fair, there will be several other attractions. The beer gardens, the craft vendors, the enormous carnival rides and many other specialties will be spread all over the festival’s venues. You can just wander around and see all what it has to offer. Finally, The Annual Adams Avenue Street Fair is opened to people of all ages who love music and want to have fun.
Even families are expected as there will be special places for children to play. A great festival like this, which features such great national and international names, must not be missed and anyone that is around San Diego at the end of September is invited to attend. Spend two fun days listening to good music and relishing a unique, fresh atmosphere. It is all about fun, and since the entrance is free, why not check out what everything is all about?
