Race, Rock & Roll Near Your La Jolla Home
La Jolla will come alive next weekend as the 16th annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon, races by your La Jolla home! The rock and rolling party crosses 26.2 miles as racers join together to stamp out and raise awareness for lymphoma and leukemia on June 2nd. All along the route, activity will be in full swing as bands, cheerleaders, and over 100,000 onlookers encourage the nearly 30,000 racers who will file past La Jolla homes. Spectators can gather at mile points 4.9, 6.6, 12, 13.5, and the finish line as they wait for their friends who run and walk.
The race begins at 6:10 a.m. with the Marathon Wheelchair Start at 6th Avenue & Quince Street. 6:15 is when the Marathon begins and 6:45 is the time for half marathoners and relayers to start their races. The FinishLine Festival will welcome everyone who attends with drinks and food and lots of music! The Psychedelic Furs will perform as the concluding band after the race has finished at Petco Park, too.
