Live in La Jolla? Receive Half-Off!
Families who live in La Jolla can celebrate their good fortune this week with a half-price admission ticket to the Birch Aquarium at Scripps. As they celebrate the 20th anniversary, aquarium staff are saying “Thank You” to San Diego County residents by offering reduced admission on the 20th of each month through September. So, if you live in San Diego and have a zip code between 91901 and 92199, clear your schedule on Friday, July 20th, for an afternoon of hands-on educational fun!
The Birth Aquarium has plenty to keep you entertained, near your La Jolla home, with touch tanks and exhibits on sea creatures large and small. A live research center, you’ll find plenty of innovative information and interesting shows, including shark reef feeding, kelp tank diving, and real-live lectures given by scientists! The new outdoor exhibit, Boundless Energy will intrigue you as well as it teaches you about sources of renewable energy, exploring the wind, sun and waves and the power they can create. To learn more about current exhibits or learn how you can play an active role as a volunteer, visit the Birch Aquarium online. Please note: Residents who live in La Jolla seeking to receive the discounted admission will need to show a valid ID which includes their zip code and there is a limit of two children per valid adult.
