Live in Coronado and Thrive as a Teen

Coronado Community, News | 30th Nov 2012

Live in Coronado and playTeens who live in Coronado can enjoy a variety of social activities this winter. Each Saturday evening is movie night at the community center and middle school teens can join with friends from 7 to 9 p.m. to hang out with one another away from their Coronado homes. A movie geared toward high school students will play from 9 to 11 p.m., as well.

Youth can also meet at Glorietta Bay Park Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. (except on school holidays) for free and low-cost classes, fun and games. Monday is Band Jamz day and any teen with musical talent or and instrument is welcome to sit in while Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday, complete with trivia games and contests. Cooking and baking classes are offered on Tuesdays and Arts and Crafts on Thursdays for $5 per person, while air hockey, movies, video and board games, ping pong, puzzles, and homework help are all available at no charge.

On the first Monday of each month all students are encouraged to have free ice cream sundaes from 3 to 5 p.m. Click here to view the full schedule and scroll down to see the current calendar. It’s really an excellent safe zone for students to visit after school.
