Live in Coronado and Enjoy Concerts at Spreckels Park
Summer time concerts in Spreckles Park are a tradition that those who live in Coronado look forward to every year. The series finishes on September 8th, so there are still several concerts to enjoy.
On August 4th, come hear The United States Marine Band. They have an extensive repertoire of new compositions, traditional concert pieces, and patriotic marches. Rockola, “America’s Classic Rock Experience” will play on August 11th. They’re a high-energy classic rock cover band, with a special love for the Beatles, and a regular in the concert series.
Don’t miss Sue Palmer, the Queen of Boogie Woogie on August 18th. Many music lovers who live in Coronado will be familiar with her, as she won Best Blues Album at the 2010 San Diego Music Awards. The last concert of August will be the Navy Southwest Wind Ensemble on August 25th. Their repertoire includes patriotic marches, Broadway show tunes, and beloved classical pieces.
These Sunday concerts are held at 6 p.m. They’re a great place to meet up with friends and family who live in Coronado. Bring blankets or lawn chairs and some snacks from your Coronado home and have a great time at the concert! There are two more concerts in September, so be sure to visit the Concert Series webpage for all the details.
