Coronado Home Town Fun at it’s Best!
Coronado will be filling up with vistors in the next week as we get closer to Independence Day weekend! If you live in Coronado, you’ll enjoy the close to home festivities. They really are hard to beat! From fireworks to picnics, to hometown parades, stepping out the door of your Coronado home can bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart as you watch the community roll out to celebrate our nation’s freedom.
Whether you choose to attend the parade, rough-water swim, community concert of fireworks show, the sheer volume of people surrounding you can get overwhelming when you are used to living in such a small town. The City of Coronado wants to promote safety within our community and has issued the following warning, so take note and care this 4th of July.
The parade will begin promptly at 10 a.m. and a safety zone around a one-block radius of Orange Avenue to allow access for emergency crews and other needed personnel is being created, so be prepared for changes in routes in the local area when driving. Also, before you park your car, watch for event signage to avoid unnecessary towing or ticketing.
The boat ramp at Glorietta Bay will close during the 15K race and the fireworks display, so be prepared and avoid its use in the early morning or evening on the Fourth. Please refer to the official update from the City of Coronado for more information fro residents who live in Coronado.
