Visions of Coronado is the current juried art show lasting through February 20th at the Coronado Museum of History and Art. This inspiring show consists of 24 recent works by local artists depicting some aspect of what’s it’s like to live in Coronado. For some of us the name “Coronado” invokes images of the historic hotel in a seaside setting and for others it is an old-fashioned American small town. Still others might picture an island community closely bound to the US Navy. Each of these perspectives of the Crown Isle is special in its own right and has been inspiring artists since the town’s beginnings in the late 1800s. The Coronado Museum of History & Art is located at 1100 Orange Avenue, Coronado, CA 92118. Their hours are Monday through Sunday, 10am-5pm. For more information, click here.
