Coronado Home to Fabulous History

Coronado Community, News | 15th Mar 2013

Coronado Home to Great MemoriesCoronado is being discovered… again. So if you own your Coronado home, be aware that it will probably be in high demand in the very near future, from buyers, vacationers, and friends who want a place to visit over Spring Break.

Vanity Fair is featuring a delightful photo spread of Coronado in their upcoming issue. Showcasing vintage photos and honoring the release of a just published book by Hotel del Coronado, the article explores the history along with the beauty of our little beautiful oceanside town.

Perhaps you will see some landmarks you recognize in viewing the photos, maybe even areas down the street from your Coronado home. It’s worth taking a few minutes to relive the last 125 years of “The Del” through them.

You can find the Vanity Fair article here. As you look through the photos, which ones are your favorites? Do you remember when…? Does seeing the photo of a star like Marilyn Monroe or a conga line or a cocktail menu from the 1940’s make you smile?

The memories of Coronado and especially the Hotel del Coronado are many and well loved. But celebrity photos or not, the small town feel, ocean breezes, time spent on the beach with family and friends, and sense of community are really what make residents happy to call Coronado home.
