Coronado Home to a Relaxing Labor Day
Labor Day means a break for all non-emergency employees who work in Coronado, so this a reminder that you may find some local facilities operating on a different schedule. Don’t be alarmed if you live in Coronado, however, lifeguards will be on high alert and numerous over the holiday, allowing you plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy the beach near your Coronado home.
Coronado’s pool and Community Center will still be open as well, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. as will the Tennis Center, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the Skatepark from 10 a.m. to dusk. The Coronado Municipal Golf Course will be in full swing on Labor Day, too, so don’t miss out on your chance to get in a few rounds.
There will be no street sweeping or trash collection on Monday, September 3rd though, and aside from an early morning beach sweep, Coronado Public Services will be closed. Trash pick-up and beach sweeping will be delayed by one day. If you have any questions resulting from these closures, please contact the City of Coronado at 619.522.7300. As a reminder, the City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 4th, will still be held at the Coronado Council Chambers beginning at 3 p.m.
